with all the June Gloom that has been looming over LA for the past week, it was nice to have a little sunshine this past weekend! so i documented a few things in my little world that are bright and making me happy lately. how was your weekend? hopefully it was filled with bright colors, warm weather, and a happy n' meaningful Father's Day.

three: being a Wardrobe Stylist i have a little bit of a hoarding situation when it comes to clothes...

so i use a rolling rack for the clothes that can't seem to fit into my closet. resourceful!

four: this white woven basket is the newest addition to my kitchen AND the perfect home for my fruit.

 five: well that there is our sleepy baby... taking over the couch & getting belly scratches (as usual).

we are officially 6 1/2 months away from moving into our new home! eeeeeek. so we are getting super excited for our move... and me decorating a new home. i think i was born to NEST. so here is a home trend i am loving especially for the eclectic kinda home i plan (& hope) to live in. other then the style factor, layering rugs could be good for the finances too. layer two mix matched smaller rugs may be more cost efficient then buying one large (8x10 or 10x14) size rug.

FALL FASHION: MADEWELL 2013

every year we are just about to reach summer, and fall fashion lines, reviews, & predictions begin to trickle in. so since it's an extra Juney-Gloomey day here in LA i figured it may be perfect timing to think a head of those oversized coats, rich fall colors, and heavy fall fabrics. here are a few pieces from Madwell's Fall 2013 collection. it's tomboy style and layers upon layers make me excited for Fall to fall into place.

INTERIORS: mid-century hawaiian loft

living in good ole downtown LA, this cool couple Jon & Nina Hans has managed to turn their brightly lit loft into a mid-century Hawaiian dream! while browsing around one of my fave blogs (Design Sponge) this weekend, i stumbled upon this bright, white, and colorful space. instantly i fell in love with the couple's modern furniture (those couches, bar stools, & hutch!) are a dream... and the pops of color mixed with white open spaces made me definitely swoon. and what about that bed?? i could nap in there for hours, daily! i hope you find a little inspiration in this laid back LA loft.
